Oxygen-rich water is a product based on the third oxygen supply pathway, which is generally a drinking water rich in oxygen produced by a special process of additional oxygenation on top of pure water. The oxygen content of oxygen-enriched water in the market is between 40 mg-150 mg/L.
Oxygen-enriched water can remove excessive free radicals produced by the body in the low oxygen state, enhance the body's antioxidant capacity, improve blood oxygen saturation, protect the heart, brain, kidney and other important organ functions, and have anti-hypoxia and anti-fatigue ability. Oxygen-enriched water is easy to prepare, economical and portable, without odor and toxic side effects.
BOC Sciences provides testing services for oxygenated water. Oxygen-enriched water testing includes basic tests based on drinking water, as well as dissolved oxygen testing. Through specialized instruments and technology, our water quality experts are able to test the dissolved oxygen content of the oxygen-enriched water provided by our customers. At the same time, we can also provide product solutions, based on our advanced technology and equipment, can help customers' oxygen-enriched water to meet international standards, so as to enter the market faster.
Routine water quality testing
This testing includes inorganic contaminant testing, microbial testing and organic testing.
Dissolved oxygen measurement in oxygen-enriched water
1. Iodine amount test method
The prepared manganese hydroxide forms manganese sulfate in water. Then add concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium iodide, sufficient reaction after precipitate iodine. Take out a certain amount of water sample, with starch as indicator titration standard solution, we can know the specific content of dissolved oxygen.
2. Dissolved oxygen measurement
BOC Sciences is mainly tested by means of a dissolved oxygen tester. The working principle is that oxygen is reduced by the working electrode through the diaphragm, generating a diffusion current proportional to the oxygen concentration, and by measuring this current, the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the water is obtained. The diaphragm electrode is divided into two types: polarographic and primary cell.
The polar spectrum type diaphragm electrode uses silver - silver chloride as counter electrode, the electrolyte inside the electrode is potassium chloride, outside the electrode is Teflon and polyethylene film, the film prevents the exchange of liquid inside and outside the electrode, so that the oxygen enters the inner part of the electrode, and the concentration of oxygen can be known after the diffusion current is measured by the external circuit.
The anode and silver electrode are placed in a potassium hydroxide electrolytic cell to form two half cells, which are also sealed with a film. Dissolved oxygen is reduced at the anode to produce a diffusion current, and the concentration of oxygen can be obtained by measuring the diffusion current.
Oxygen-enriched water, like soda, loses oxygen rapidly over time once it is opened. Therefore, it is recommended that oxygenated water be consumed within 30 minutes of opening to maximize oxygen intake.
In addition, most oxygenated water comes in cans, so it is especially important to drink it quickly, as the container cannot be resealed.
